Goshen College prepares registered nurses for advanced practice through the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Classes meet in person one evening a week in the newly renovated Center for Nursing and Public Health at Westlawn, and your clinical placements are arranged with faculty rather than left to you.

The program is built for working RNs: classes meet on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., and you complete a minimum of 672 clinical hours with approved preceptors in a variety of settings. It builds on one of Goshen’s oldest and most respected programs and its decades-long tradition of nursing education.

    This program is designed for registered nurses who hold a bachelor’s degree and are ready to step into advanced practice as family nurse practitioners. One evening of class a week keeps your career moving while you study, and a cohort of peers moves through the program alongside you.

    • Advanced Clinical Core: Build a foundation in pathophysiology, pharmacology, advanced health assessment, and leadership for advanced practice.
    • Family Nurse Practitioner Track: Care for all ages through courses in pediatrics, women’s health, adult health, and a final transition to practice.

    Cost and Financial Support

    Tuition is $765 per credit hour for 2025-26, plus an annual program fee, across the 48-credit-hour program. Students are billed by semester and may set up a payment plan, and we’ll connect you with state, community, and internal scholarships that may help offset the cost.

    How to Apply

    To apply to the Goshen College MSN, you’ll need a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a current, unencumbered RN license, at least one year of clinical nursing experience, and a completed undergraduate statistics course. Submit the online application with a CV or résumé and official transcripts from every college attended, then interview with the program director.

    International applicants whose first language is not English submit an official TOEFL or IELTS score. Up to 9 credit hours of comparable graduate-level coursework (grade of B or higher) may transfer with advisor approval. Not sure whether you qualify?
